Newburgh are Lancashire Best Kept Village 2025 Winners!
Newburgh have won the medium village category and Newburgh C E School have also won an Outstanding Feature Award in the Lancashire Best Kept Village competition 2025.

It was recently announced that Newburgh were the winners of the Lancashire Best Kept Village competition for 2025 in the medium village category.
Following on from a very close second place finish in 2024, increased efforts this year have resulted in a much deserved first place. Our Chair, Cllr Mike Roughneen, and Parish Councillor, Celia Pennington, attended the award presentation held at Eaves Hall on 13 October 2025 to collect the winners plaque. This result adds to our proud history of winning the event numerous times over the years.
Newburgh C E School are also celebrating, having won an Outstanding Feature Award in the same competition.
