Have Your Say on Local Government Reorganisation

A consultation is currently underway to seek the views of all residents and stakeholders regarding the Local Government Reorganisation plans for Lancashire.

Published: 23 September 2025

Local residents and stakeholders are being encouraged to share their views regarding the Local Government Reorganisation plans for Lancashire.  Under the plans, the current organisation in Lancashire for Local Government services is that services are split between Lancashire County Council and District and Borough Councils.  The reorganisation will mean that all these organisations will be replaced with a new structure where the County will be split up into a number of sections with one Council in each responsible for delivering all the public services in that area.  This change will affect everyone, so it is important to have your say and share your views.  The consultation closes on 28 September 2025.
